Justice said the same opportunity exists for other managed network services providers looking to expand the number of devices they manage in their clients’ environments and that there’s more opportunity for print resellers looking to add managed services.
“I don’t know why you wouldn’t do it,” he said. “The opportunity is there.”
Candace St. Germain, a senior vice president at Southern Solutions’ client The Cherry Cove Group, a property management company, said her firm has been with Justice since he launched his business and signed on for every service Southern Solutions has developed since. The customer support impressed Cherry Cove, based in Lexington, Park, Md.
“The customer service is the best I’ve ever experienced -- personally or professionally. They are one step ahead, if not more,” she said.
Because of Southern Solutions’ solid performance, St. Germain said, Cherry Cove switched to a recurring revenue contract, adding managed print and managed IT services. It’s currently migrating to cloud with Southern Solutions’ help.
“Any time they come out with something new -- and it doesn’t matter what they come out with -- it feels catered to us,” she said.
And the prices of the hardware it sells are “so reasonable” that Cherry Cove always buys them through Southern Solutions rather than lease or finance them, St. Germain added. Because of the success it has with its customers, and its expanding services model, Southern Solutions’ decade-long transformation has outgrown even Justice’s expectations.
“I always thought I would stay a small company,” he said. “But because of everything we have gone through, we have become something else.”
This year, Southern Solutions celebrated its first decade by opening its new, larger headquarters in La Plata, 10 miles south of its original base, Waldorf. With the new space, and the growth, Justice is looking forward to the opportunity ahead of him.
“We are going to continue to focus and grow the apps and solutions part of our business,” he said. “It gives us so many options; we are really excited for the future.”
