Channel Opportunities From Network Refreshes

Networking equipment resellers may be seeing an uptick in sales as businesses are refreshing their networks sooner than normal. But at the same time, networks are becoming less secure.

That's the word from solution provider giant Dimension Data, whose eighth annual Network Barometer Report, released in November, said many enterprises whose networks Dimension Data supports refreshed their equipment earlier in their lifecycles to take advantage of mobile technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) and software-defined networking.

In an interview with IT Best Of Breed, Lawrence Van Deusen (pictured), director of Dimension Data's Wired and Wireless Networking Business Unit, talks about the study and what it means for service providers.
