Tech Jobs Dominate Glassdoor List

Looking for someone with the technical chops who can help you keep customers satisfied? Glassdoor this week released its annual list of the 50 best jobs in America and many of the top spots were technology roles.

The website compiles the list by calculating each job's "Glassdoor Job Score," a number that takes into account the number of active job listings on the website as of Jan. 1, the median salaries earned by people in those jobs, and the overall job satisfaction ratings reported by Glassdoor users. Job descriptions came from PayScale.com, Indeed.com and other employment sites.

This year, 16 of the top 50 jobs were tech industry positions, including four of the top five jobs on Glassdoor's list. And for the second consecutive year, the position of data scientist took the top spot as the best job in the country.
