Q&A: How A Longtime VAR Built Up Its Telecom Practice

Tell us about Carousel’s history with selling carrier services.

Carousel sold carrier services quietly and without much focus or structure for the last eight to 10 years. We acquired a few small companies that had carrier practices of their own, so we had about two or three people [in the company] that sold carrier services. I came on board to really elevate the practice and drive more momentum about three years ago. That’s when we really started to scale the [telecom] business and expand the sales team, built an operations team, and brought a lot more focus to the area.
