Deloitte: Some Consumers Act By Going Without Technology
In its study, Cyber Risk in Consumer Business, Deloitte found that consumers express "heightened" security concerns, with a "startling number" going so far as to delete mobile applications and avoid websites, "which can threaten a critical engagement touchpoint for consumer businesses," according to a statement from Deloitte.
In fact, Deloitte – No. 15 on CRN's Solution Provider 500 – said that over the past 12 months, 31 percent of U.S. consumers deleted applications from their smartphones, while 27 percent avoided specific website to mitigate their own cyber risks.
