4. Build For Growth

As IT Weapons has grown, Garner has decentralized responsibility so that the MSP can continue to innovate and be nimble.

Employees and department leaders are allowed to make decisions without involving Garner, who has gone to great lengths to ensure he's not critical to any processes at IT Weapons. 

Garner also encouraged MSPs to invest more heavily in marketing rather than sales to help create a distinct brand and experience.

And from a technical standpoint, MSPs should invest in and build a scalable cloud to ensure they can support customers well into the future, Garner said.
