Melby says this supposed fundamental rule of business just doesn’t apply in the MSP world. In the same survey, Greystone found 91 percent of clients didn’t believe a full-time IT person was necessary for their office. Melby said the market may be growing, but clients don’t believe in outsourcing their services. “There’s still so many people in the market we as MSPs want to work with that still don’t see outsourcing as a viable model,” he said. Melby said the market could change to encourage SMBs to outsource, “If our market becomes more willing to take on some of their challenges.”
