Lee says this is especially true for top executives at larger companies acquiring smaller ones. "Executives really need to sell the story on why it's good to work for a larger company. If the executives are passionate about it, it makes a big difference." Highlight the big-company opportunities employees have, whether it's more room for advancement, the opportunity to relocate or any number of other advantages. "You have to get to know the employees and what their concerns are," she said.
