Bigger Future For Hybrid?

More than 80 percent of businesses that aren't using a hybrid cloud are exploring it as a future option, Clutch found.

However, private cloud remains the most popular option today, used by 68 percent of respondents' businesses.

Many solution providers are addressing hybrid cloud as a key element of their go-to-market strategies. In an interview Tuesday with ITBestOfBreed, C.R. Howdyshell, the new president of Rolta AdvizeX – No. 98 on CRN's Solution Provider 500 – said he believes that hybrid cloud means "relevance" for his company, and is critical in helping his customers shift to the cloud. Organizations, he said, "want to know about hybrid clouds and how to manage them," he wrote in a recent blog post on his company's website.
