Why Solution Providers Should Bet On Unified Communications

Unified Communications as a Service booming
The fast-growing Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) market continues to expand, fueled by demand for cloud-based services as organizations digitize their business workflows around voice, video and conferencing solutions.
UCaaS will grow at an annual rate of 16 percent, with revenues from the smaller UCaaS business suite segment – which includes 8x8, based in San Jose, Calif. -- growing far more rapidly than standalone applications from the likes of Cisco, Citrix and Microsoft, according to a recent Synergy Research Group report. Annual revenues from UCaaS are more than $4 billion, according to Synergy.
There are big money-making opportunities around UC services for solution providers, according to Enzo Signore (pictured), chief marketing officer at UC provider 8x8.
Signore talked to IT Best Of Breed about the biggest trends in the UCaaS market that offer the biggest impact for solution providers, as well as how channel partners should enter the market if they haven’t already.
