EMC Makes the Grade in CRN’s Annual Report Card
Submitted by Fred Kohout on
Every year, CRN issues its Annual Report Card (ARC), the results of its comprehensive study of solution provider satisfaction of 70+ hardware, services and software vendors across more than 20 major product categories. Based on the feedback of these approximately 2,400 solution providers, EMC has once again made the grade, earning top honors in several categories:
- Data Protection Software: For the third consecutive year, solution providers ranked EMC number one in this critical product category. EMC also won the product innovation sub-category.
- Network Storage for SMB: This is the second year in a row that EMC has earned the top spot in network storage for small- and medium-sized businesses. Solution providers also voted EMC number 1 in all three sub-categories: product innovation, support, and partnership, and called out EMC’s improved “quality and reliability, partner portal, and cloud program.”
- Enterprise Network Storage: Solution provider feedback secured EMC’s winner position in the product innovation sub-category.
Let’s also put a spotlight on EMC Federation company VMware, which was also recognized in this year’s ARC and cruised to number 1 in the Desktop & Server Virtualization category. Solution providers called out VMware’s improved “ease of doing business, managing channel conflict, quality of field management, and pre-sales support.” It’s no surprise, then, that VMware swept all three sub-categories: product innovation, support, and partnership.
Recognition like this is the most meaningful, because it comes directly from our partners. We sincerely appreciate this feedback, because it helps us make the EMC Business Partner Program more simple, predictable, and profitable.
