Innovation doesn't have to be big or expensive, Linkner said. For example, he said one year he wanted to give all of his employees bonuses, but only had about $200 apiece to give them. While that might have been a nice but insignificant amount, Linkner said that he got a little creative with it. One day, he shut down his entire business, "kidnapped" all 300 employees to Best Buy and gave them $200 that they had to spend on something in the store. He said that employees still talk about it to this day.
