Companies Are Not Prepared

Accenture said it's clear that companies are not ready to take advantage of potential economic benefits from IIoT. They surveyed more than 1,400 C-suite decision makers – including 736 CEOs – from some of the world's largest companies, and about 84 percent believe their organizations have the capability to create new, service-based income streams from the IIoT.
Still, said Accenture, 73 percent confessed that their companies have yet to make any concrete progress, with just 7 percent having developed a comprehensive strategy with investments to match.
