How Much Education Is Too Much?
While education is important throughout a career in the channel, attending workshops and gaining as many certifications as possible isn't a solid business plan, Mache said.
"We can't sit and get educated all day; we have a business to run," he said. "And, it's a flawed strategy because you can't learn everything since it keeps changing. The better mousetrap comes out every five or 10 minutes."
Keeping up on the industry and customer needs is critical. Mache suggested to providers to spend 15 minutes a day on a specific educational track, such as a cloud education program.
