Getting Off The Ground: Q&A With George Ferris Of New Service Provider CompassMSP

About the acquired companies
WorldwideIT made this year's CRN MSP 500 and Tech Elite 250 lists, both for the first time. Founded in 2002, its partners include Amazon, Cisco, Citrix, Dell EMC, HP and Microsoft. It provides a range of managed IT and security services.
Cubed Group, also a managed services provider, was founded in 2004. Its offerings include consulting, helpdesk, security, backup and disaster recovery, plus software and hardware procurement. Its partners include Dell, Microsoft, Lenovo, Xerox, Citrix, and VMWare.
Ferris said Compass bought Worldwide first, in November, followed by Cubed Group in March. Both Worldwide and Cubed Group are small firms, each with between 11 and 50 employees, based on their LinkedIn profiles. (Ferris would not confirm that data.)
In an interview with ITBestOfBreed, Ferris said that "over time," the WorldwideIT and Cubed Group names will go away, leaving CompassMSP to go to market with its own brand.
Here's what else Ferris had to say in his interview.
