Do They Match Core Values?

Brent Yax wants people who align with the core values of his company, Awecomm Technologies of Troy, Mich. Those values are transparency and honesty, says Yax, who is CEO.

When Awecomm is interested in a candidate, the process begins with a phone interview, "so that we can see how they present themselves on the phone."

If the candidate comes in for a live interview, that's where Yax and his colleagues want to determine if he or she matches those values.

"If they represent those qualities well, and everyone through the chain of interviews gets along with them well, we know that they're going to fit in very well with the organization," Yax told ITBestOfBreed. "We know that’s a very big indicator of how well they're going to work with our customers."
