Cloud 411 was spun out of a marketplace need for information and resources to help solution providers succeed in selling subscription or cloud-based services, Schuman explained.
"In talking to solution providers, MSPs [managed service providers] and telecom providers, cloud is a generic term. It doesn't always mean the same thing to a partner," he said.
As a result, PlanetOne gathered resources and information from its supplier and vendor partners on their services. "If it can be consumed as a service on a subscription model, it is now located within Cloud 411," he said.
To help partners understand how different technologies could apply to specific use cases, rather than just speed and feed information, Cloud 411 also includes customer video testimonials on why they choose specific technologies and the problems the product is solving, Schuman said.
