Rip Out The Old, Install The New
Looking to grow, Rainier Title, a provider of real estate title insurance and escrow services in the Seattle area, wanted to bring its communications system into the modern era by eliminating a patchwork quilt-style of disconnected analog and digital phone systems across its 11 offices.
Rainier turned to Efficient Communication Solutions (ECS), a local provider of voice, data and unified communications, which installed SIP trunking services from cloud business applications provider Intermedia, supporting Avaya's IP Office Platform.
Within 90 days, ECS' work was done, according to Don Barber, principal at Auburn, Wash.-based ECS. The payoffs for Rainier? A 40 percent savings on its phone bill, centralized system administration and a payback time of less than six months, according to Barber.
Here's what Barber said about the project in a recent interview with IT Best Of Breed.
