DevOps' Growing Pains

DevOps may be growing, but businesses looking to adopt the practice of bringing together the development and operations sides of the corporate IT organization to speed up application development are driving along a rough road.

That's what Quali, a vendor of cloud sandbox software for cloud and DevOps automation, uncovered after it surveyed more than 2,000 IT industry executives last year at several industry events.

This looms as a big year for DevOps adoption, with about half of businesses recently surveyed by Interop ITX planning to adopt the methodology this year, and another 11 percent within two years.
