While some partners may be reluctant to stray from the traditional model of selling security, Intel Security, formerly known as McAfee, and other security vendors hope to incent partners to develop a managed services model to optimize sales.
Intel Security has been working to assist partners who would like to switch over to sell security-as-a-service for years, according to Richard Bowman, senior director of Global Service Providers at Intel Security. Following are the steps Bowman said the company has taken to pave the way for partners to easily switch over to a managed security services model.
