How can paying commission in a residual model help with employee retention?
BARON: If you're a salesperson and you've been working for a few year, you could have $70,000to 80,000 a year in guaranteed income on commissions alone, so essentially for them, it's like another base salary. If they had a base salary of $80,000, plus $80,000 in commissions -- that’s $160,000 right there essentially in guaranteed income. Plus, anything else they sell is just increasing that number. It's hard for a competitor to lure someone away because they can't offer them an income level like that on Day One.
