Logicworks, a cloud managed services provider, compares partnering with Amazon to being given a dismantled fighter jet that doesn't have a pilot. Business clients can get a lot of benefit out of working with one of the largest cloud providers in the world -- if only they knew how to assemble and fly it.
That's where New York City-based Logicworks comes in. The MSP got in on the ground floor with Amazon four years ago as a reseller partner and hasn't looked back. Logicworks, founded in 1993, transitioned its business four years ago to focus on software after years of concentrating on complex managed hosting and colocation services. Today, Logicworks focuses exclusively on migrating, managing and automating enterprise workloads on highly customized AWS infrastructures.
Partnering with Amazon isn't for every solution provider, but for Logicworks, business has been explosive since its transition. Jason Deck (pictured), vice president of strategic development for Logicworks, shares its journey toward becoming a Premier Amazon Partner, and the success the MSP is seeing now as more clients demand value-added services around their AWS environments.
