2. Consider Hiring More Than One Executive Assistant
Chesonis told the audience that he wished someone would have told him to have assistants when he was 32, and added that this won't be feasible for every business leader. But he urged business leaders to have at least one.
"One good executive assistant asks to be paid not much more than (what you can earn in) one good residual commission from one client," Chesonis said, noting that the additional salary won't have much of an impact on the bottom line.
He told solution providers that time in front of clients is very valuable, and they need to have someone to help ease the pressures of home and work. And, he added, when one assistant takes a vacation, nothing gets dropped or mishandled.
