iOS Has Done 'Good Job' On Security
Another driving factor behind iOS' dominance in the SMB world comes down to security, particularly with apps, explained Levine.
"In iOS you can restrict applications, and they have gone through Apple's strict vetting process, so you know that someone has been double-checking them," he said. "In Android, people can put what they want on their devices, and in terms of apps you may not know what type of malware can get through."
In addition to app security, iOS also contains hooks for data control that are "very robust and convenient for security administrators," said Levine. Many Android devices have that feature as well, like Samsung, he stressed, but not all do.
