Lagging Confidence In IT Investment Level
Not too many IT decision makers are confident that their businesses are spending enough money on technology. The average confidence level on IT investment – 6.5 on a 1-to-10 scale – was the lowest among the survey base, but there's a big gulf between the small businesses, which averaged a 4.7, and the mid-sized (560 to 499 employees) and large enterprises, which registered an 8.6 and 8.9, respectively.
"Correlate these IT Infrastructure findings with the lack of expressed confidence in combating security risks and the potential impact to businesses gets even scarier," said Intermedia's chief technology officer, Jonathan McCormick, in a statement.
If IT directors believe their companies are not investing as much as they should, then they should look at channel-provided cloud services to fill the gap, McCormick added.
