By adding data analytics and data integrity to instinctual decision-making, an organization that combines its business and IT departments can rise above competitors, especially as data quality improves and analysis becomes more advanced.

We may see the role of data officer elevated to the C-suite. The chief data officer will promote the use of data as a strategic asset and bring an enterprise view to reviewing processes, procedures and solutions.
