Wipro: Who's leading the charge?

CEOs, CTOs and CIOs are almost equally likely to serve as the primary driver for digital transformation strategies, the Wipro study found. And they're at least twice as likely to do so more than any other senior executive. But Kohli calls CEO leadership "essential, because it sets the tone for how the rest of the business and employees prioritize digital transformation efforts and align across departments and operations," he told ITBestOfBreed.

Wipro also cited a case for chief marketing officers and chief digital officers to play a major role in driving digital transformation projects. Wipro says CMOs, for instance, are spending "more than ever" on IT, yet are the least likely of any senior executive to drive digital strategies.
