Capgemini: Innovation is still not a reality for many organizations.
Only 7 percent of companies surveyed feel that their organization can test new ideas and deploy them quickly, Capgemini found. This figure echoes employees’ sentiment about an innovation culture, with only 37 percent of respondents stating that their organizations have a culture of innovation, experimentation and risk-taking, as opposed to 75 percent of senior executives who answered that question. Organizations need to actively reward risk-taking and create an environment where employees can experiment, Capgemini said.
Meanwhile, the Wipro survey found that businesses are more likely to realize operational benefits from digital transformation strategies, such as in operations, the IT organization and procurement and finance, as opposed to organizations where innovation is most likely to occur, such as product development and marketing.
