Why does adoption of software-defined networking seem to be slow? What can speed it up? (Part 2 of 2)
The service providers themselves are providing different ways to consume their services, pushing up some of the traffic into their own networks. So it's removing some of the need for clients to have their own devices. But I think the priority is [closing in on] leading that change. We see a very big refresh opportunity in the routing market because [in part] of the age of some of that equipment and the ability for it to be intelligent.
A lot of clients are looking at the intelligent WAN … because traffic has shifted more to the cloud, and strategies [in which] they don’t have to use hub and spoke into the data center [are being implemented].
