What's Driving DevOps?

The chief reasons businesses are turning to DevOps focus on the triple mantra of innovation: faster, better, cheaper.

More than 50 percent of those surveyed indicated a need to improve quality and performance of applications. Also, 48 percent of respondents cited improving the customer experience, while 35 percent pointed to reducing complexity and decreasing overall IT costs.

Nearly half of the IT professionals surveyed indicated that mobile and cloud development efforts also drove their need to adopt DevOps. "That's likely due to the rapid release rates expected by mobile users and the nature of cloud deployments and management," the report read.
