One of every four survey respondents said DevOps practices reduced costs, while 20 percent said it helped increase revenue.
Other benefits include increased collaboration (cited by 46 percent of respondents), more frequent software deployments (39 percent), less time spent to maintain applications (39 percent) and improved application quality and performance (38 percent).
Additionally, 43 percent of respondents indicated that, after adoption, operations staff had become involved in future product feature enhancements, while 41 percent said development had become more involved in application deployments. In addition, 25 percent reported that corporate management structure had been changed to better align development and IT staff goals through DevOps practices.
