1. Respond To Online Inquiries Quickly
Most end users who find themselves on the website of a local solution provider are there because something has gone wrong, Hopkins said, and are looking to have the issue addressed quickly.
Research has found that customers move on very quickly if they can't reach a business; companies have a 50 percent chance of closing a deal if they respond within five minutes of an inquiry, a 20 percent chance of closing if they respond within 10 minutes, and just a 10 percent chance if they respond within 15 minutes, according to Hopkins.
Given that an MSP is unlikely to get more than 10 inquiries through its website each month, Hopkins said it should have enough staffing to ensure that even people reach out during the evening or over the weekend get a quick response.
"If somebody is sending you a lead Friday at 6 p.m., you should have the ability to see that they are reaching out," Hopkins said.
