CIOs Turning to Service Delivery As Purchasing Power Dwindles

CIOs and IT directors have moved away from having a pure technical focus, morphing instead into internal service providers who can support LOB requirements.
Some 57 percent of CIO surveyed expect that, by 2016, four-fifths of their budget will be based on providing service integration for a broad portfolio of IT and business services.
More than three-quarters of respondents said their organization's IT function is already service focused, rather than technology focused.
