Technical Skills No Longer Enough For Employers
When recruiting new IT staff, just 34 percent of CIOs cited technical skills as a top priority.
Quickly gaining ground are communication skills – the primary concern for 28 percent of CIOs – IT service management skills – which received 15 percent of the votes - and business analysis skills, selected by 12 percent of CIOs.
And most companies are willing to open their wallets to get multiple skill sets, with 65 percent of those polled believing they will have to pay more for a business IT professional.
