What's In A Name?

Almost half of CIOs agree that the term "IT Department" is becoming out of date, and expect the function to be renamed in the next two years to reflect the shift toward providing services. 

The majority of alternative names suggested by CIOs reference business or services, while few refer to IT or technology. Some of the names suggested include "Business Enablement Center," "Information Services" and "Technology Enablement."
