How much has hosted voice services grown in recent years, and how do you see this growth trend and interest from businesses increasing?

Hosted service makes up about 25 percent of ACE's business, but in the past year, it's made up about 75 percent, Gregoire said. ACE works with carriers in an agency model in which the customer pays the carrier directly and ACE receives a recurring percentage for the length of the contract. Residual income, as opposed to the upfront, one-time payment associated with a premise-based PBX system, is becoming the norm, and is "ten times better," Gregoire said.

"Cloud and hosted voice, backup and disaster recovery solutions are clicking on all cylinders right now with customers," he said. "The industry could not be trending any quicker toward these platforms."
